Nerja, the pearl of the Costa del Sol, is a white washed picturesque village situated where the Almijara mountains meet the Mediterranean sea. This part of the Costa del Sol and Costa Tropical has the best climate in Europa, especially during winter with 320 days of sunshine a year. This is confirmed by the fact that fruit like lemon, mango, avocado and cherimoya are grown only in this area in the whole of Europe. Nerja is a very cosy little Andalusian village with friendly local inhabitants living a very low pace life and Nerja can offer sun, beaches and culture. You can also go skiing to Sierra Nevada for 6 months of the year 1,5 hour drive away.

Frigiliana, Costa del Sol

Frigiliana is one of Spain´s absolutely most beautiful villages and has been awarded several times for its beauty and for its well preserved original atmosphere. Only 6 km north of Nerja at an altitude of 435 meters you will find a very genuine Andalucian village with around 3.000 inhabitants. The village is divided into two parts, one of them with a Moorish heritage and the other one built in a more traditional Andalucian fashion. The old part has narrow winding streets and alleys with many small shops, cafes and bars. The village is surrounded by old fashioned countryside and can offer outstanding views over the mountains and the Mediterranean sea.”
